NEW YORK - Sept. 8 2022 /PRNewswire/- Today, the Israel Ministry of Tourism has announced record-breaking figures of visitors from the United States who visited Israel in July and August. The country welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States during July 2022 which was an increase of 4% over 2019 and 71,000 travelers from the United States during August 2022. That's a 13% growth over 2019.
"It is so thrilling to once again see an increase in tourism to Israel from the United States, already reaching and surpassing our record-breaking numbers of 2019" said Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. Canada, which has 7,200 visitors in July 2022 and 6,000 tourists in August, is not much from the United States.

Israel received more than 4.6 million tourists in 2019. 969,600 were of the United States. The country's officially reopening to travelers in May has seen more than 600,000.
